CHAMPAIGN MAIN THEATER
The Champaign Experimental Theater purpose is to promote a new theater experience in 4D. It will also create a social and artistic environment experience for the community of Champaign and visitors. The space will be divided in to two areas, interior and exterior, where the users can adapt their necessities according to the season. There are three main interior theaters, and an outdoor performance theater, a special activity room, café restaurant, and production room. The main movie theater intent is to present eclectic types of international movies as well as domestic. The production room will allow locals to create digital films. It is strategically selected next by the Illinois Terminal station. The idea is to promote several movie festivals during the year, in which will have and easy access to the bus and train main transportation. A café restaurant will provide great food, with a friendly view to the street. There is special multipurpose room where the artist can exhibit arts and or have conventions and seminars. The exterior will have a plaza that will provide a landscape with seats and trees that will cast shadows where artist can exhibit their art and have their “tertulias”. In the plaza will be a stage for performances and films outdoor projections.
